Plumber Mornington: Morell Street Cistern Inlet valve replacement
Our plumbers from Mornington recently received a phone call from a customer in Mornington township on the Mornington Peninsula, the customer informed Daniel, our plumber based in the somerville area that there was a constant stream of water flowing into the pan from the cistern. Our first thoughts were that it could be a worn out seating washer or malfunctioning inlet valve inside the toilet cistern.
As soon as our Mornington plumbers got to the job they were able to diagnose the problem quickly when they took the cistern lid off to find that water was constantly flowing into the cistern and exiting thru the over flow due to a malfunctioning inlet valve.
We then commenced to fix the problem, by turned the water to the cistern off and removing the malfunctioning inlet valve. He replaced it with a brand new cistern inlet valve making sure it was correctly positioned as to not get caught or stuck on the side of the cistern or flush valve, our plumber then reconnected the water to the cistern and began to fill the cistern to find that they had fixed the problem.
