Plumber Seaford: Kirkwood Avenue Bath Spout

At this job in Seaford we where notified that our customer had a bath spout that was leaking. This time around the customer was not in a hurry to get the problem rectified as they informed us that the bath was hardly used anyway and booked a time for the coming days. When we arrived, we greeted the customer and they showed us into their bathroom and demonstrated the leak for us.

We could tell straight away that there was something wrong as water was spurting out at the base of the tap rather than exiting out of the end of the spout. Once we had unscrewed this pout for a closer inspection we could tell that there was a split in the chrome plated brass thread.

This splitting would normally only happen with low quality tap ware. We headed straight down to our local plumbing products store and sourced a brand new spout for our customers bath. The rest of the job was really quite simple as we just returned and used teflon to ensure a solid seal between the lugged elbow and bath spout. The customer now had no more worries about flooding their bathroom.
