Plumber Frankston: Darius Avenue Pool Leak

When our Mornington Peninsula plumber first arrived at this job there was water coming up from the brick work on the side of the pool.

Our Frankston plumber dug up the area to discover that one of the solvent weld joints coming from the pool was leaking badly and the pool water was constantly draining into this area. The position of this pipe was very difficult to get too, being underneath more plumbing products and hard up against the outside concrete wall of the pool.

Some of the concrete was jack hammered out to expose the pipe and make it easier to connect our new fitting. The existing glued joint that was leaking was cut out and first attempted to replace it with a 40mm high pressure threaded coupling although this seemed to continually leak.

Somerville plumbers accepted defeat and ended up using glued joints. This was quite difficult as they were working with 2 fixed points. It got very messy but they succeeded and fixed the problem. Our Mornington plumber decided to leave a small hole opening so the customer can test the piping when filling the pool up to the correct level again.
