Plumber Frankston: Victoria Parade Gas Log Fire installation

When we arrived to this job in Frankston our first action was to test the gas line to the dwelling to check and make sure there are no leaks in the line, our second step was to check the line and make sure it is the right size to provide a safe and correct amount of gas to every fixture.

After our Mornington Peninsula Plumbers completed all of our safety checks we left the gas meter disconnected and shut off so that we could safely work on the gas line.

We then began to remove the existing gas fire place by disconnecting the gas line feeding it. Once the existing gas fire place had been safely removed we began to address the existing copper gas line, we upgraded the existing gas line to a gas approved shutoff valve and a gas approved flexible hose. Once we had completed that we began to construct the new fire place. When it was constructed we connected the gas line to it and we then performed another gas test to check that our new connections were safe and not leaking. The test came back with no leaks and our Plumber Mornington located then placed the new fire place into its cavity.

When the fire place had been fitted into its cavity we then connected the gas meter back up to the dwelling and tested the appliance .

Also due to us shutting the gas off we also had to relight the gas storage hot water unit and had to test all other appliances to make sure no oxygen was in the line and everything was working perfectly
