Plumber Portsea: Martins Lane Blocked Outdoor Sink

Daniel from Orbit Plumbing who is our Plumber Somerville located received a phone call from a customer in Portsea who had an outdoor sink that required fixing. The customer informed Daniel over the phone that her husband used the outdoor sink to clean his fish after his fishing trips although the sink had just started to block up and the waste would not go down the drain anymore.

Our Frankston Plumber tells us that this issue is mainly caused from an ORG being blocked or the sewer being blocked further down the line. A lot of the time a sink is what will prime an Over flow relief gully so they tend to be the first to back up if the ORG is compromised.

Orbit Plumbing Mornington Peninsula sent out our Mornington Plumber and Rosebud Plumber to tend to the client blocked drain and rectify whatever the problem may have been. Upon arrival, after discussing the issue with the customer our plumbers started by taking apart the sinks sanitary waste trap and the first thing they noticed that is was full to the brim with small rocks.

This job quickly became a very simple and quickly resolved task as all our plumbers needed to was to clear the trap out. We also noticed that there was a small crack in the trap due to weight of rocks it was holding so we also swapped the trap over for a new one and the job was complete. The sink was running freely again and the customer was very confused to how the rocks got in their in the first place.
