Plumber Frankston: Allenby Street New Hot Water Service

Our Mornington Peninsula plumber Customer called us requiring a new hot water unit as their current unit was leaking in through the floor of their house. The Frankston plumbing currently had a 50L electric hot water unit that was positioned indoors.

Our Somerville plumbers advised the customer that it may be a better option to position the unit outdoors to prevent any damage to the house in the future in case something untoward would happen. They ended up deciding that an Aquamax 160L Electric Squat unit would be the best option.

Where they were originally planning on positioning the unit made it a requirement that it needed to be a short unit. The unit ended up on an outside brick wall anyway so it would not have mattered anyway although the customer was happy to just install the squat unit regardless.

Mornington plumbers installed new SharkBite piping underneath the house to the position of the new unit and hooked up the hot and cold lines to the unit. As this unit heats the water to 75 degrees we had to install a tempering valve and commission the water temperature down to 50 degrees to make sure it is safe for anyone to use and that our customers would not get burns from the excessively hot water when using his plumbing products.
