Plumber Frankston: Skye Road Blocked Toilet

Our Mornington Pumber visited a a customer with a blocked toilet and need of a Plumber Frankston way. Upon arrival our Mornington Peninsula Plumbers went straight inside and checked the toilet. It was full to the brim. The Somerville plumber ran the basin and shower which was also in the ensuite. The strange thing about this blockage was that none of the other plumbing products where affecting the blocked toilet at all.

Usually if the blockage was down the drain a small distance you would see gurgling or at least some kind of movement with the water. Because there was no action or blocking from any other fixtures this usually means the blockage is within the toilet itself and can usually be fixed with a plunger with the right technique.

We gave the plunger a really good go and then realized that there must have been more to the problem. We went outside to see where the toilet waste pipe was coming out of the wall and luckily their was an inspection opening cap. We opened this up to discover the blockage continued down the line.

We could see that there was a dodgy looking connection where the pipe entered the ground. We sicked the Drain Cleaner or sewer machine on to the blockage and it was clear within minutes. We suggested to the customer that she get the pipe repaired properly as there was obviously a section just under the ground that was allowing roots to enter into the pipe. The customer decided that they would prefer to get the pipe fixed permanently on our next visit.
