Plumber Sorrento: Ozone Avenue New Toilet

Frankston Plumbers discussed works to install a new toilet at the Mornington Peninsula plumbing customers home. Our customer had informed the plumbers that an S Trap style toilet was required to be installed.

When our Somerville plumber arrive he had a quick look at the plumbing products and realized that the customer in fact needed a P Trap style toilet.

The job was rescheduled for the following day, to allow time for the plumbers to swap over the toilet at the Mornington plumber supply store.

We came back to the job the next day and had already prepared ourselves for what was to come as we checked it out the day before. This toilet installation required an 80mm pan collar which is not the standard these days. Nowadays toilet piping is set up to cater for 100mm pan collars and piping.

When the customer first called us, they called because the toilet was leaking from the pan collar. The previous toilet installed at this job was a very old toilet and a lot of the time one of the biggest problems with these old toilets is that the screws that where originally used have now rusted out and seized up which make it incredibly difficult to remove the pan. We explained this to them and they decided that they would like to just renew the toilet straight away rather than risking the extra labor time it may take.

If our Blairgowrie Plumber was unable to unscrew the pan screws from an old toilet, the next best way to remove them is to get the hammer and smash the pan around the screws and then use the grinder to cut the old screws off at ground level. This was a good clean installation that took an hour and gave the customer a fresh new look.
